June Shin can’t keep her earrings on her own ears.

It was when she realized that wherever she went, people wanted what she was wearing on those ears -- or that neck  -- that she came to realize she was onto something. Her jewelry designs were touching a happy nerve. She decided to make her work more available, much to the delight of many.

While working in the high tech world of computer consultation in New York City, June Shin felt the need to find a creative outlet.  She has always had a love for fashion and managed to squeeze in courses at The Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) and basic metal work to fulfill her artistic needs.  After moving to Atlanta, she taught herself how to create jewelry using semi-precious stones and metal wire and soon after, launched her jewelry company.

In keeping with Coco Chanel’s pronouncement that “fashion fades; only style remains the same”, June aims to balance upon that gossamer line between contemporary and timeless design. While she is inspired by current fashion, she is continually on the lookout for ways to go beyond trendiness and veer to the classic.

She currently has two lines: The Vintage Collection, made with vintage beads and antiqued metals, and the Precious Collection, employing semi-precious stones, such as garnets, citrine and peridot, sterling silver and gold-filled metals. Combining vintage materials with a modern sensibility, June’s jewelry tends to be dainty and delicate, intent on catching the light and always lifting the spirits of the wearer.
